Polina

“Polina” is part of my SKY solo show.

“We all live under the same sky.” It’s an Italian saying about unity. We all share the same planet. We are all human no matter how different we look. So that’s the theme of my new show. It’s about the human rainbow and loving each other’s uniqueness.

Blue skies have so many meanings, but my favorite is when they represent creative and visionary thinking. So I wanted to fill this sky with butterflies and bees that symbolize lightness of being and bees that represent hard work to tie in the saying “Work hard, Play Harder.” So this painting is about enjoying life’s nectar, working hard for what we want and grabbing life with enthusiasm. Her name is Italian for pollination. Life exists because of pollinators, beautiful little animals that fly from one place to the other connecting Mother Nature. What's impressive is that they are different from each other, but the results are the same. It doesn't matter what they are or how they live they are all part of the cycle of life.
